Formerly known as Think Pink Photography, Shoots for a Cure has made some amazing changes! Supporting this cause is something that is near and dear to my heart. My mother lost her battle with cancer in 2003 but my Aunt battled it in 2005 and came out a SURVIVOR. Two of my most favorite people in the world fought this ugly disease.
Who are we?
SFAC is the network that connects those with cancer, treatment stage or remission, with photographers around the world.
Why do we want to connect you?
This enables those with cancer to have their journey documented in photographs, by a reputable, professional photographer. A photographer who’s mission is simply to create memories for you.
So what’s NEW?
+First of all, of course, you’ll notice the name change. When Think Pink Photography’s charitable session network was created in 2007 it’s main focus was breast cancer. SFAC is embracing people who have been affected by ANY type of cancer, not just breast. We hope this change will allow us to reach more of those in need.
+Another significant change here at SFAC is the option to be VERIFIED. As a professional photographer, it is important to not only be good at your passion and skill, but to be a wise (and legal) businessperson. This includes proper insurance, licensing (if required in your area) and paying sales tax to your city, state or locality. When you apply to be a photographer in this network, you have the option of sending documentation to prove you are a professional photographer. When you submit these forms, you will have a
label next to your name. If you cannot provide documentation, you will still be listed; we will not turn down anyone that wishes to support the cause.
